About Us
A student-run program for global affairs
GAP is a student-run program at the Harvard Institute of Politics. Presented by students at Harvard College, it is a program community for students interested in diplomacy, security, development and regional affairs.
Founded in 2024, the Global Affairs Program is built on the belief that students are indispensable voices in shaping the present and future of global affairs. GAP brings together a selective group of students from around the world to engage with policymakers, scholars and practitioners.
We do not claim to represent Harvard University. GAP is a student-run program at the Institute of Politics, and our work is organized and delivered by students. Our motto is simple: by and for students.
Members work in small teams led by student directors to plan events, moderate discussions and write in-depth analysis, while gaining mentorship from leaders across diplomacy, policy and research.
